For the first time, Bain revealed his sexual orientation in front of fans while performing on the JUST B concert stage in Los Angeles which was held on Tuesday (4/22/2025). “I am very proud to be part of the LGBT community,” said Bain after performing solo performing Lady Gaga’s song “Born This Way”.
JUST B held a concert in Los Angeles as part of a world tour titled 2025 JUST B WORLD TOUR [JUST ODD]. They started their concert in Japan at the end of March 2025, then continued their tour in America, covering Toronto, New York, Minneapolis, Miami, Chicago, ST. Bain confirms he is gay on his Instagram
After becoming the center of conversation for his bold action on the concert stage, Bain has reaffirmed his sexual orientation on his personal Instagram account.
On Thursday (4/24/2025), he uploaded a video clip of himself at a concert in Los Angeles with a caption confirming that he is gay.”I want to share something real with you. I am proud to be part of the LGBTQ+ community — as a gay person. And Lady Gaga showed me that being different is beautiful. To anyone out there who is part of the LGBTQ+ community, or is still figuring it out, this is for you. You are seen, you are loved, and you were born this way,” Bain wrote in the caption of his latest post while quoting Lady Gaga’s song lyrics.
Bain received mixed reactions from fans
Bain has received support from international fans and JUST B members for his courage in admitting that he is part of the LGBTQ+ community. However, considering that South Korea is still relatively conservative regarding issues of different sexualities, fans are also worried that Bain could potentially receive criticism.
Bain is the next K-Pop idol who has dared to be open about different sexual orientations. Other idols, namely soloist Holland, have also admitted to being gay, Lara KATSEYE admitted to being queer, and Jiae, formerly of WA$$UP, classified herself as bisexual.
