A Fashionable Controversy: Moka and Haerin’s COYSEIO Moment

The K-pop world often sparks discussions, and fashion is no exception. Recently, a particular outfit, the COYSEIO set, has become the center of attention, particularly involving NewJeans’ member Haerin and ILLIT‘s Moka.

Haerin, noted for her distinct style, popularized the COYSEIO set, a Korean brand that drew widespread notice from fans and fashion aficionados. This unusual style immediately became a popular look.

However, Moka’s recent appearance in a similar style has ignited a debate online. Some netizens accused Moka of copying Haerin’s style, leading to a wave of criticism.

It’s important to note that while both artists wore similar styles, the brands were different. Moka was actually wearing Comme des Garçons, a renowned fashion house. This highlights the importance of accurate information and avoiding hasty judgments.

The controversy has sparked various reactions, with many fans expressing frustration and disappointment over the unnecessary hate directed towards Moka. Others have defended her, emphasizing the individuality of personal style and the global nature of fashion trends.

It is critical to treat these circumstances with respect and understanding. While it is natural to feel protective of one’s favorite heroes, it is also critical to avoid making false charges and indulging in damaging online behavior. Finally, fashion is a means of self-expression, thus it’s important to value diversity and originality.

The conflict between ILLIT fans and NEWJEANS dates back to last April, after Min Heejin, the former ceo of Hype’s Ador agency, accused ILLIT of copying the concept of their band, which spread to fans of both bands.

Min Heejin recently announced her departure from ADOR, and the status of the NEWJEANS band remains uncertain, having previously postponed many of its year-end plans, including the publication of a studio album.

Meanwhile, Elite is preparing to release a collaborative song with Eva Max titled “Baby It’s Both” (Tick-Tack English Ver.) on November 22.
