On April 25, 2025, Weak Hero Class 2 will finally be available on Netflix. The sequel is expected to have even greater effect. We go back to the character of Yeon Si-eun, the reserved but brilliant high school girl who is still troubled by the incident that put her buddy Su-ho in a coma.
Si-eun has transferred to a new high school with the hopes of living a more tranquil life at last. He soon learns, however, that the violence is far behind him because of the unfamiliar faces and the already noticeable tensions in the hallways.

Si-eun is unintentionally drawn into fresh tales of dominance and survival when he first gets to Eunjang High School. He will have to deal with the strict regulations of the K-drama playground once more, this time in the form of new alliances and old demons. With even more gory action sequences and character interactions that delve into potent themes like loyalty, treachery, and the pursuit of justice in a cruel world, this season is sure to be more explosive.
Park Ji-hoon plays the part again with much more passion. Despite her maturity, Yeon Si-eun is still susceptible in this new setting where anything might happen at any time.
Weak Hero Class 2 cast
As Park Hu-min, a new ally who becomes Si-eun’s greatest ally, Ryeoun joins the cast. His portrayal of a devoted and more grounded character is a radical departure from his well-known roles in Twinkling Watermelon and Namib.

Seo Joon-tae, a self-effacing teen with a great deal of dramatic potential, is portrayed by Choi Min-young, who starred in XO and Kitty. His growth might surprise you. The character of Go Hyun-tak, a martial arts expert who will become a backbone of the gang, is played by Lee Min-jae, who starred in Crash Course in Romance and Start-Up.
As Na Baek-jin, Bae Na-ra also makes his debut. Although his motivations are currently unknown, hints indicate he will be key to the battles this season.
Lastly, Lee Jun-young portrays Geum Sung-jae, the vivacious, dreaded boss of the high school who will stop at nothing to keep power. Remarkable action scenes are promised in the announced clash with Si-eun. Returning with a more developed role is Yoo Su-bin, who also made an appearance in the first season. Choi Hyo-man, his character, has the potential to revolutionize the new alliances.
Fans will be thrilled to hear that Jo Jung-suk (Hospital Playlist) will be making a special appearance, which is a surprise. Although his involvement is still unknown, his partnership with filmmaker Han Jun-hee points to a potent, even significant, scene.
A more reflective second season has been alluded to by director Yoo Su-min. He wants to demonstrate how these young people, who are used to struggling for their life, progressively start to reconstruct their lives, mature, and accept who they are.
In an environment that is as brutal as ever yet occasionally tinted with moments of real emotion, we follow a more mature Si-eun who is caught between her anguish and her quest for closure.
Every scene has a unique authenticity thanks to the meticulous attention to detail that went into the production, which was done at an actual school. Everything—the gym, the hallways, the hiding places—was thoughtfully planned to put us right in the middle of this claustrophobic and fascinating high school.
Weak Hero Class 2 offers complete immersion in a world where every glance can be a threat, thanks to its darker visuals and dramatic, hefty soundtrack. Netflix’s second season, which premieres on April 25, is expected to mark a sea change for the show. Greater emotional depth, intensity, and maturity.
