THE BOYZ’s Sunwoo Reacts to Nana’s Criticism

A heated debate erupted after Nana, a former member of the group After School, openly criticized THE BOYZ’s Sunwoo. She accused him of disrespect, reacting to a video in which the group members appeared not to greet the staff, a gesture considered fundamental in the Korean entertainment industry.

Under the video, Nana commented, “Someone needs to be reprimanded.” This message immediately sparked a wave of reactions. Some netizens denounced Sunwoo’s attitude as rude, while his fans quickly came to his defense.

THE BOYZ fans criticized Nana for focusing on a trivial detail while distracting from much more serious matters. For them, this kind of attack only fuels misunderstandings.

Faced with the situation, Sunwoo spoke out on Bubble, the messaging app dedicated to fans. He shared his version of the events surrounding the AirPods incident and clarified what really happened.

“I’m not the type to repeat ‘AirPods AirPods’ for nothing. I saw the video, and I understand that it might come across as rude and not greeting anyone. But in reality, a fan yelled something, and I didn’t know what had fallen out.

I was just confused. Then I realized it was my AirPods. I said ‘My AirPods!’ while looking for them. I picked them up after they were returned to me and said ‘Thank you!’… without lowering my head.” »

THE BOYZ's Sunwoo Reacts to Nana's Criticism

“I understand that it might have given that impression. But I’m someone who always thanks when someone holds the door for me, and I always greet people properly. Don’t worry.” »

In the rest of his message, Sunwoo didn’t mince words with his detractors: “People who twist my words to find something to criticize are their hobby. They find comfort in putting others down. I hope they continue their miserable little lives, seeing everything from a miserable perspective.”

He then clarified that he was speaking out of concern for the fans, not to justify himself:

“I’m saying this because I feel sorry for The B. It’s not to make myself look good. And really, who are you? Haha. That’s what I wanted to say.

I will continue to take care of the people around me, those who work hard for me, and of course, The B. I will stay focused on my work and move forward with them.” »

Fans continued to support Sunwoo, lamenting that this controversy erupted on his birthday. They felt that Nana’s remark was not only inappropriate, but also unwelcome at a time when the idol should have been celebrated.
