BLACKPINK member Rosé’s “Apt.” has been nominated in major categories at the Grammy Awards in the United States.
According to the list of nominees for the 68th Grammy Awards, announced by the Recording Academy on the 7th (local time), Rosé’s collaboration with Bruno Mars, titled “Apt.”, was nominated for both “Song of the Year” and “Record of the Year.”
This marks the first time that a K-pop solo artist has been nominated in both of these major Grammy categories simultaneously.
In addition, Rosé was also nominated for “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance,” achieving a total of three nominations this year.
The Grammy Awards are regarded as the most prestigious ceremony in the global music industry. The upcoming event will be held on February 1st, 2026, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, USA.
Many Korean netizens expressed their pride in Rosé’s nominations, considering her nominations in the major categories of Song of the Year and Record of the Year a historic achievement for any K-pop artist. However, some suggested that Rosé’s nomination was thanks to Bruno Mars, mocking the credibility of the Grammy Awards. Read the comments:
- Whoever wins, it’s our victory lol
- Still, I hope Rosé’s “Apartment” wins.
- “Apartment” will probably win — it stayed #1 on the music app charts for months.
- It’s over 90% likely to be “Golden,” it swept Billboard…
- She sang really well.
- I think “Golden” will win.
- Calm down… even Bruno and Gaga didn’t win last year with Die With a Smile…
- Of course it’s “Golden.”
- Looking at this year’s nominees, it’s really unpredictable, but I think the Bruno collab has a higher chance than “Golden.”
- Does “Apartment” even deserve to be there??? The song’s nothing special… probably just nominated for attention.
- “Apartment”? Even if it was popular, they should still consider musicality.
- Rosé got 3 nominations, but “Cat’s Eye” also got Best New Artist and 2 other nominations lol what’s going on with the Grammys.
- This year’s grand prize should go to STAYC’s Isa because she’s pretty.
- “Apartment” pfft lol are you kidding me?
- Why is “Apt.” considered a Korean song? If a Japanese chef in the US gets a Michelin 3-star for Korean food, does that make him Korean?
- “Golden” is too strong.
- “Golden” is just too powerful.
- There are usually 8–10 nominees, and two of them got in — but there are still plenty of strong contenders. The Grammys are super conservative. You guys just got baited by the article lol.
- They won’t give it to either of them, they’ll give it to a Western artist.
- I like both of them so much, haha.
- They’ll probably just nominate them like BTS and give the award to someone else. They didn’t even give “Golden” the VMA, so do you really think they’ll give the Grammy?
