On November 22, Cha Eunwoo’s official TikTok account shared a dance challenge video with Jungkook to ‘SATURDAY PREACHER’. Later, Jungkook revealed during his live broadcast that he had spent time with his friend, which sparked speculation about the person he mentioned.
Internet users quickly guessed that this friend was none other than Cha Eunwoo, who is currently serving in the military. According to sources, Cha Eunwoo recently received a leave, and it seems he spent it with his close friend Jungkook.
Notably, Jungkook attended the premiere of Cha Eunwoo’s movie The First Ride, where he appeared carrying a life-size standee featuring Eunwoo’s face, since Eunwoo could not attend in person due to his military service. Jungkook also delivered a sweet message of support, saying he would watch the movie and remember many of the memories they shared in their twenties.
The relationship between Jungkook and Cha Eunwoo is not surprising to the K-pop community, as both were born in 1997 and share a close friendship along with other idols from the ’97-line, including Mingyu from SEVENTEEN and Jaehyun from NCT.
Additionally, Cha Eunwoo participated in Jungkook’s SEVEN challenge, which was his first dance challenge, and the challenge was filmed in Jungkook’s own home, confirming the depth of their relationship and their closeness off-camera.
