Jungkook Faces Invasive Question At Incheon Airport

BTS member Jungkook Faced a question that some considered an invasion of his privacy at Incheon Airport, sparking angry reactions from netizens.

On the morning of the 11th, BTS members J-Hope and Jungkook departed for New York, USA, via Incheon International Airport, for a private schedule.

Reporters appeared to take photos and ask a few questions. However, one reporter angered fans as the two stars entered the main airport. The reporter asked Jungkook if he had lost a lot of weight. When he made an “X” with his hand, seemingly to indicate refusal, the reporter asked, “No, haven’t you lost any weight?” Jungkook then shrugged.

Netizens criticized the reporter for his seemingly inappropriate question, and his second response further fueled fans’ anger, as he continued a thread that many find offensive. The idol remained calm, but fans were quick to defend him. They commented:

  • “What is this Korean obsession with weight? JK trains so hard, all these trainees do. Even if they weigh over 80 kg, over 80 kg will be pure muscle, not fat.”
  • “What’s with this question??? Asking if he lost weight, what kind of question is that???”
  • “I think he was training a lot but didn’t weigh himself. That’s why I think he couldn’t answer that question. It’s about improving his fitness for his future schedules, not improving his weight.”
  • “What are these intrusive questions about his weight loss? Whether he lost weight or not is none of your business… He’s beautiful, attractive, attractive, attractive, handsome, anyway!”
  • “Damn it, what are you asking? These Koreans can’t be that stupid. They’re useless and good for nothing.”
  • “He had Jungkook right in front of him, and that silly question popped into his head, ‘No, no, I can’t stand them anymore.'”
  • “I’m glad he doesn’t bother answering those silly questions. He’s tired of constantly exhausting himself.”

Meanwhile, BTS announced their comeback in the spring of next year, along with an extensive world tour. All members were in the United States in July focusing on music production and concert preparations. They also continue to engage actively with their fans through Weverse and other platforms.
