Recently, Jungkook appeared in a live, showcasing his skills as a “cooking master,” revealing a new pasta recipe. The live broadcast drew 6.4 million viewers in real time, but the surprise wasn’t the dish itself… it was Jungkook’s later apology for a spontaneous gesture.
Jungkook started his live from his home kitchen, saying he turned on the broadcast because he was hungry. After moments of sharpening his knife, which excited fans, he announced:
“I’ll make a new pasta today,” before starting to prepare a recipe of his own creation: “Shrimp pasta with creamy soy sauce.”
While presenting the dish, garnished with green onions and freshly grated cheese, he commented:
“The seasoning is amazing. I could sell this.”
He also revealed his next creation, saying he wants to “make a pasta that doesn’t exist in the world,” hinting at a future attempt with Doenjang curry pasta, which thrilled fans.
The moment that sparked discussion was when Jungkook tasted the pasta, and to show how much he enjoyed it, he said “Mamma Mia” with that gesture.
However, Jungkook quickly apologized, explaining that he wasn’t sure if the gesture was appropriate and added that if it was rude, he was sorry for using it.
When the clip went viral, fans praised Jungkook for his honesty, and even though he did it correctly, they appreciated his caution for not fully knowing the context: “Jungkook is a kind, respectful, and considerate person as always.”
Another one said: “But wait… was this a bad gesture? Don’t people do this when they’re happy? Like when they eat something delicious? I’m really not sure. If this was truly rude, I’m sorry…”
“Another fan jokingly speculated that this could hint at a BTS tour in Italy: “So this is a sign they’re coming to Italy for the tour… what news is this?”
Meanwhile, BTS is preparing for their full comeback in Spring 2026 with a complete album alongside a world tour, which Korean media reported could be the biggest in K-pop history, with more than 65 shows worldwide.
