Jung Woo-sung, embroiled in extramarital child scandal, files for marriage to another woman, not Moon Ga-bi.
Actor Jung Woo-sung (53) has reportedly recently filed for marriage. The woman is not Moon Ga-bi (35), the biological mother of his extramarital child, but his long-time girlfriend.
Following reports on the 5th that “Jung Woo-sung recently filed for marriage,” his agency, Artist Company, told Hankyung.com, “We are currently confirming the information.”
The agency later stated, “Regarding reports related to actor Jung Woo-sung, we ask for your understanding as we cannot provide an official statement as a company. We ask for your understanding and refrain from excessive interest and speculation regarding his personal life.”
However, Jung Woo-sung’s acquaintances unanimously confirmed that he recently filed for marriage and is now legally married to his girlfriend. This woman is a non-celebrity who Jung Woo-sung has been in a relationship with for over a decade. She is known to his acquaintances, enough to enjoy double dates with actor Lee Jung-jae and his girlfriend, Daesang Vice President Lim Se-ryeong, known as the “Cheongdam Couple.”
Jung Woo-sung caused a stir last November when he was revealed to be the biological father of Moon Gabi’s son. The two met at a gathering in 2022 and learned of Moon Gabi’s pregnancy in June 2023. Moon Gabi gave birth in March 2024, but as their relationship was not intended to be marital, they reportedly decided not to marry and instead focus on parenting in their own respective roles.
Moon Gabi announced the birth of her child last year on social media, but did not mention the biological father.

After Moon Gabi’s relationship with Jung Woo Sung became public, Artist Company stated, “The child Moon Gabi revealed on social media is indeed Jung Woo Sung’s biological child. We are currently discussing the best possible parenting method. I will take full responsibility for the child.” Jung Woo Sung’s side reportedly completed paternity testing.
