The wave of threats and harassment directed at BTS member Jimin by some Taekookers (fans of BTS members Jungkook and V) has continued for years, and this time a concerning development occurred with the aggressors appearing at Jimin’s father’s café.
On October 20, photos circulated showing a foreign woman who reportedly traveled to South Korea recently, seemingly to celebrate Jimin’s birthday. However, her updates revealed that her true goal was to harass BTS member Jimin at his father’s café and leave offensive photos and messages.
According to the circulated images, this woman left an AI-edited photo of Jimin and actress Song Da Eun, who had previously been linked to dating rumors with him, along with an insulting message.
Reports stated that an AI-edited image of Jimin was placed in his father’s café by a perpetrator, who also conducted a live broadcast from there on his birthday. This repeated harassment targeting Jimin and his family is unacceptable and extremely concerning, escalating from social media to real life, putting them at serious risk.
This is not the first incident of its kind. In recent years, Jimin has been subjected to harassment and threats from some Taekookers, including death threats and an acid attack on the face, which sparked outrage among the idol’s fans, especially given the absence of any statements or measures from Jimin’s agency.
The presence of such obsessive fans in Jimin’s environment caused significant concern among his fans. Alongside the lack of organized campaigns to protect the BTS member, fans’ anger grew against the BTS ARMY after the official account that reported these serious violations against Jimin was closed, while the woman’s follower count on social media increased.
Some BTS fans have demanded the closure of the account that reported the violations Jimin has been facing.

- “In reality, Taekookers harass Jimin and leave harmful AI-edited photos in his father’s café. They also stick extremely disgusting posters in the old BigHit building for a long time without consequences.”
- “Since when does this fandom even care about Jimin? Even his company doesn’t.”
- “Taekookers split their audience into two: Taekookers and PJMs. I’m glad Jimin is solo.”
- “I really want to know when this fanbase will finally have the courage to speak openly about Taekookers crossing the line from cyber hatred to personally harassing Jimin and his family. Jimin is honest and kind, has never hurt anyone, and he deserves not just respect but a fandom that protects him instead of remaining silent or participating in this baseless, silly hate. This is no longer a simple online war, yet you ignore it and harass anyone who dares to speak.”
- “That member’s first attempt to interact with Taekookers was just a test, but since the fandom liked it and accepted it as normal, he then openly fed this fabricated relationship, continuously engaging with anyone using the TAEKOOK symbols in their name, fully aware they are the same people spreading hate toward Jimin. As long as he keeps ‘feeding’ these Taekookers and no one criticizes him, they will never leave Jimin alone. ARMY, be firmer and confront this behavior for Jimin’s safety; maybe then it will stop.”
Meanwhile, multiple fan pages revealed that a fan removed the offensive photos and messages from Jimin’s father’s café.
