Popular webnovel and webtoon “Iseop’s Romance” is being adapted into a drama.
According to DongA’s report, Ace Factory, the talent agency of actors Lee Jongsuk, Lee Junhyuk, and Yum Hyeran, which has dramas Confession, Stranger 2, Grid, and Good or Bad Dongjae to its credit, has acquired the rights of “Iseop’s Romance” and will produce it.
“Iseop’s Romance” is centered on a third-generation chaebol who has never had a single date since birth (mottae-solo). The life of Tae Iseop, the main character, turns when Kang Minkyung, his former co-worker who dissuaded him, becomes a secretary in his company. The novel was initially a webnovel by Kim Eonhee, and then a webtoon, to be realized now as a live-action drama.
The exact shooting schedule has not been locked in place. The crew is preparing the cast, planning, and scripting at present. Casting and complete production will come later after certain rudimentary pre-production work is undertaken. The trade anticipates the drama to strike TV in the latter half of 2026 or the first half of 2027.
Casting speculations have also been rife. The fans have been fancasting all along, and everyone is curious about who will be cast as the male and female leads. With increased popularity of webnovel-to-drama and webtoon-to-drama adaptations, Iseop’s Romance has received some buzz for live-action adaptation.
