Suspicions that Kim So Hyun dated and manipulated Kim Sae Ron when the actress was a teenager have been rocking public opinion for over a month. The representative of the “Queen of Tears” denied the allegation and filed a lawsuit against Kim Sae Ron’s family and the Garo Seru Institute.
By the morning of April 17, News1 reported that Kim Soo-hyun had not paid the court fees and court service costs. The source said the 1988-born star had requested an extension of the April 16 deadline for payment, but he did not appear willing to pay the full fees necessary to proceed with the lawsuit. Therefore, Kim Soo-hyun’s lawsuit for damages has not yet moved to trial. If the actor fails to pay the fees on time, his lawsuit may be dismissed.
Previously, Kim Soo-hyun announced at a press conference on March 31 that he would file a lawsuit demanding 12 billion won (219 billion Vietnamese dong) in damages from Kim Sae-ron’s family and the Garo Sero Institute. However, the actual amount of compensation stated in Kim Soo-hyun’s lawsuit is 11 billion won (201 billion VND). Shortly thereafter, the 14th Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court ordered Kim Soo-hyun to adjust the amount of damages in the lawsuit and ordered the actor to pay court fees and court service fees based on the 12 billion won. It is known that in the case of the male star “Queen of Tears,” the court costs and court service fees are estimated at approximately 38 million won (693 million VND) for a 12 billion won (219 billion VND) lawsuit.
Kim Soo Hyun’s case is stalled due to alleged court fee issues
In response, on the morning of April 17, Kim Soo Hyun’s representative denied the reports of non-payment of court fees: “The news that we have not paid court fees and court service costs is completely false. We have paid the required fees in full. The renewal request is actually only related to an address change.”
When someone close to Kim Sae-ron’s family abruptly revealed on the Garo Sero Institute’s YouTube channel that she had dated Kim So-hyun, the first commotion sprang out. The relationship between the two actors lasted from November 2015 to July 2021, according to this source, who also claimed that Kim So-hyun had manipulated Kim Sae-ron’s mentality while she was an adolescent. To date the child star, he only dated her once, when she was an adult, according to the actor’s current claims.
In addition, Kim Sae-ron’s family has also accused Kim So-hyun of aggressively collecting Kim Sae-ron’s debts, causing her to fall into a state of mental panic. The Garo Sero Institute claims that Kim So Hyun gave Kim Sae Ron the aforementioned loan in order to pay the reparation. The actor then sued the beauty known as Kim in writing, requesting the debt. The claims that Kim So Hyun loaned Kim Sae Ron money were refuted by his representative, who also disputed the debt from his former lover.
The gold medalist also stated that he was never compelled to pay back the debt and that he never asked Kim Sae Ron for money for any reason. In order to recover damages for the significant monetary and psychological harm he had caused, the actor simultaneously said that he was suing Kim Sae Ron’s family for defamation and disseminating misleading information.
