Cha Eunwoo enlists in the military… and his ASTRO colleague Yoon Sanha prepares for his first lead role.
Cha Eunwoo will enlist in the military on July 28. He will first receive basic military training and then begin his service in the military band.
Fantagio, Cha Eunwoo’s agency, stated “In order to prevent security incidents resulting from overcrowding, the date and location of his enlistment will be kept secret.”
It’s also worth noting that Cha Eunwoo from Astro continues his intensive activitie before his enlistment date. After successfully completing ASTRO concerts and individual fan sessions in both Korea and Japan, he also received positive feedback for the recent release of “Cha Eunwoo: VR Concert – Memories.”
Furthermore, he is set to appear in the upcoming Netflix series “The Wonderfuls” and his new film “First Ride.”
Meanwhile, singer and actor Yoon Sanha, a member of ASTRO, spoke about his feelings after landing his first leading role.
On July 23, an online press conference was held for the new KBS 2TV drama “My Girlfriend is a Tough Guy” which airs on Wednesdays and Thursdays, Actors Yoon Sanha, Arin, Yoo Jung-ho, Cho, and director Yoo Kwan-mo attended.
“My Girlfriend is a Tough Guy” is written by Lee Hye-na and directed by Yoo Kwan-mo. It is based on the popular webtoon of the same name by illustrator Kim Soo-yeon. The story revolves around a girl named Kim Ji-eun (played by Arin), who suddenly transforms into a handsome young man overnight, and her loyal friend Park Yoon-jae (Yoon Sanha), who cannot let go of her despite the change.

In the drama, Yoon Sanha plays Park Yoon-jae, a hard-working astronomy student at Yeonhee University. He is known for his traditional spirit as the eldest son in his family and his extreme devotion to his girlfriend.
Yoon Sanha said during the press conference:
“When I first read the script, I was intrigued and felt the unexpected appeal of the plot. I read it smoothly at the same time, and I felt it was a refreshing work, and I really wanted to experience it.”
He added:
“After filming, around Christmas last year, I learned that the drama would be airing on a public channel, specifically KBS. I was excited, but at the same time, I felt a bit apprehensive. It’s my first starring role. And when I look back on some of the scenes, I feel they deserved better. However, I’m determined to be a more thoughtful and mature actor in the future.”
“My Girlfriend is a Strong Girl” drama will premiere on KBS 2TV at 9:50 PM on July 23.
