BTS member Jungkook shared an update with fans during his military service via an emotional letter.
On February 15, Jungkook posted a long message on the fan communication platform, beginning with a greeting saying, “ARMY, are you okay?”.
Jungkook described the atmosphere by saying, “Today’s weather is particularly gloomy, and a night full of different thoughts.” He explained that he sometimes imagines himself and ARMY in one picture, which makes him smile involuntarily, but sometimes he wonders if it’s all just his imagination. However, he stressed, “Even those doubts I will put aside, and I will work hard to make memories that are more beautiful than just imaginations,” expressing his love for fans.
He also expressed his mixed feelings, saying, “I never forget that you are the ones who wrote my story so far, but even though I know that, I feel a bit rushed, anticipating, and maybe a little anxious.”
He concluded his message with warm words: “I just… wanted you to know that I think about you a lot, that’s all, I don’t want anything else,” adding, “Thank you for reading my message. I miss you today too, and I always wait for you. Take care of your health. I love you.”
It’s worth noting that Jungkook enlisted in the military on December 12, 2023, along with his colleague Jimin, and he is currently serving as a corporal in the 5th Infantry Division of the Korean Army. He is expected to be discharged on June 11, 2025.
