On October 31, Jin of BTS held his additional concert as a gift to his fans following the success of his world tour “RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR,” with the encore concert scheduled for two days (October 31 and November 1). However, allegations about Jin’s failure to sell out the concerts spread widely.
According to reports from Billboard and Consequence, Jin’s “RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR” sold more than 100,000 tickets in the United States alone across eight shows, ranking ninth on the “Top Tours” list for July 2025.
The tour also included international shows in Anaheim, Dallas, Tampa, Newark, London, and Amsterdam — all of which sold out within minutes, with waiting lists exceeding 80,000 people in some cases. Even in Korea, the first two shows in Goyang in June sold out quickly, despite the sudden announcement that led to a lack of preparation time.
After concluding his tour in August, Jin announced surprise encore concerts at Incheon Stadium, which has a capacity of 70,000 people. On the 31st, photos spread on social media showing “empty seats” in the second and fourth floors, and some sites reported that certain sections had been closed due to low sales, sparking heated debates and claims of Jin’s concert “failure.”

It was also pointed out that Jin’s encore audience composition included 97.3% women and only 2.7% men, while the percentage of attendees in their forties reached 29.3%.
These claims angered Korean netizens, who emphasized that his world tour was a success with all shows sold out, noting that the sudden announcement was not in his favor . Read the comments:“It was a last-minute concert, but with 70,000 seats for two days, I don’t think it’s empty at all ㅋㅋㅋㅋ I’m so excited for the concert ♡”
In addition to the stadium’s vast capacity: “Do they even realize how huge Incheon Munhak Stadium is? Even using half of it, the ground seats alone hold about 10,000, the second floor 15,000, and the fourth floor another 10,000. The company didn’t even promote it, and yet he already sold over 55,000 tickets for two days, but they’re calling it an ‘empty concert’? ㅋㅋㅋㅋ…”
What do you think?
