According to music industry insiders on the 11th, BLACKPINK will release an album, not a digital single, It will be a mini-album, in November.
BLACKPINK’s album will be their first in three years, since “BORN PINK” in September 2022. They are currently on their world tour “DEADLINE,” which concludes with a performance in London, England on the 16th. They will then take a two-month break before resuming their tour in Kaohsiung, Taiwan on October 18th. They have already completed the jacket photoshoot for the album, and they plan to complete the recording of new songs and other necessary work within the next two months.
The insider continued, “BLACKPINK must release an album within the year. While the original goal was an October release, the schedule has changed. They are now aiming for a mid-November release and possibly a music show appearance.”
BLACKPINK released their digital single “JUMP” on the 11th of last month. First revealed during a tour at Goyang Stadium, the members’ distinctive vocals layer over a guitar riff reminiscent of a scene from a Western film captivated the ears. Not only did the song top Spotify’s Global Weekly Chart, it also debuted at No. 18 on the UK Official Singles Chart, and topped both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard’s Global Chart.
Despite the good news of Blackpink’s comeback, many fans expressed their disapproval of YG Entertainment’s misleading statements.
