According to police on the 4th, Song Young gyu was found dead in a vehicle in Cheoin District, Yongin City, Gyeonggi Province, around 8:00 AM that day. Police stated, “The investigation is ongoing.”
Song Young gyu was at the center of controversy on the 4th when his drunk driving arrest was belatedly revealed. He was indicted without detention on charges of driving approximately 5 kilometers from Giheung District, Yongin City, Gyeonggi Province, to Cheoin District, around 11:00 PM on the 19th of last month. His blood alcohol content was reportedly at the level of a license revocation (over 0.08%).
Following the news of his drunk driving arrest, all of his appearances were suspended. He was scheduled to appear on stage in the play “Shakespeare in Love,” but ultimately dropped out. The production teams of the SBS drama “Try: We Become Miracles” and ENA drama “iShopping,” which have completed pre-production, have decided to edit out Song Young-gyu.
Song Young-gyu’s funeral has been held in Special Room 1 of the Davos Hospital Funeral Hall in Yongin City. The funeral will be held at 8:00 AM on the 6th, and the burial will be held at Hambaksan Memorial Park.
