The SBS Friday-Saturday drama “Our Movie” quietly ended with its final episode on the 19th. The viewership rating, which began at 4.2% for the first episode, never surpassed that figure, and the series sadly bid farewell to its twelfth episode with a 4.1% rating.
According to figures compiled by Nielsen Korea based on household data across the country, “Our Movie’s” viewership rating immediately dropped to the 3% range from the second episode and, unfortunately, continued to decline without recovering. Even the final episode, in which viewership ratings recovered to the 4% range for the first time after the third episode, did not surpass the ratings of the first episode. Despite receiving positive reviews for its artistic quality, acting, and emotional direction, “Our Movie” ultimately failed to break the viewership barrier.
“Our Movie” is an emotional melodrama depicting the romantic relationship between film director Lee Je-ha (played by Nam Goong-min) and actress Lee Da-eum (played by Jun Yeo-bin), who is suffering from a terminal illness. Two people who met at the end of their lives, at the moment of death, delve into each other’s lives and complete their love through the art of cinema.
This work left a deep impression on viewers with its delicate and delicate emotional lines each time, but it was not easy to capture the attention of an audience that preferred rapid development and exciting conflict. In particular, actor Nam Goong Min directly pointed out the low viewership ratings at the beginning and drew attention. He wrote on his social media account, “I am very confident. Please wait for episode 5. If there is no improvement, I will be responsible for it,” a statement that fully revealed the confidence and passion of the production team.
However, the viewership ratings for the middle part, including episode 5, did not rise, contradicting the sincerity of the actors and making the situation even more sad.

Nevertheless, “Our Movie” ended beautifully with a high-quality final episode. As “White Love” began airing, Lee Je-ha and Lee Da-eum faced love in the film and accepted it as reality. Lee Da Eum’s determination to “capture love in this film” was embodied in real life and art, and the scene left a touching impression on viewers.
However, after the broadcast ended, the viewers’ reactions were unexpectedly warm:
Korean netizens commented:
- “It’s ridiculous… In my heart, it was the highest viewership rating”
- “Actress Jeon Yeo-bin was the best. Thank you”
- “I send my gratitude for a drama that I won’t be able to see again for a while”
- “It was a really good drama”
- “Actors Nam Goong-min and Jeon Yeo-bin have the best acting skills”
- “I think it will be remembered as a drama that was better because the drama characters were all understandable and there were no bad people”

- “I was really curious about how it would end, but it was a very satisfying ending”
- “Our movie felt like reading a novel”
- “Our movie is a work that I want to cherish and watch in the future”
- “I don’t think the calmness without a single wave helped the viewership ratings… I enjoyed it”
Although the ratings were low, the sincerity was clearly felt, and the viewers who embraced this work in their hearts will cherish its resonance for a long time.
