K-Pop soloist AleXa has announced the heartbreaking news of her father’s passing. The talented artist took to social media to share her grief, revealing that her father had been battling cancer for nearly a year.
In her emotional post, AleXa included a cherished childhood photo alongside her father, reflecting on their time together and the profound impact he had on her life. She revealed that her father was diagnosed with stomach cancer just four days before Christmas last December. Despite initially being diagnosed with stomach cancer, the illness ultimately spread to multiple organs and his bones, leading to immense pain in his final weeks.
In her touching message, AleXa expressed the conflicting emotions that come with loss: “It brings my family and I such peace and relief to know that his earthly body is no longer suffering, yet it still brings so much pain and sadness to know that he is no longer with us.” Her father passed away almost two weeks after celebrating his 66th birthday.
AleXa went on to honor her father’s memory, stating, “There is so much I would love to say about my father, but I’m afraid it would take days to share it all. I’m so blessed to have been born his daughter and I will always carry him in my heart. I love you, dad. Rest easy and be with God.”
