It was belatedly revealed that BTS member Jimin, after donating to Busan, Jeonnam, and Gangwon, has now donated 100 million won for students in Jeonbuk. Jimin quietly conveyed his intention through his father, continuing his ‘silent good deeds’ toward education offices nationwide for years.
According to the Jeonbuk Office of Education on the 25th, Jimin’s father, Park Hyun-soo, called the superintendent’s acting secretary office last July to convey his son’s wishes and expressed the intention to donate. Later, on the 18th, 100 million won was deposited into the Love Scholarship Foundation account.
At the request of the donor, the process was carried out quietly without a separate ceremony or event, and the provincial education office plans to use the donation to support the studies of local students from low-income families.
Previously, starting with the Busan Office of Education in 2019, Jimin had donated 100 million won each to the Jeonnam, Gangwon, Chungbuk, and Gyeongnam Offices of Education. These offices used his donations for scholarships for low-income students, school development funds, book donation projects, and other educational support.

Acting Superintendent Yoo Jeong-gi said, “We deeply thank BTS Jimin for his warm sharing for the future of children,” and added, “Through the Love Scholarship Foundation, the donation will be fairly and transparently provided to students studying in difficult circumstances.”
